How to do I find evidence-based medicine articles on CINAHL?

CINAHL (ProQuest) has a special search mechanism to filter a search for evidence-based articles only. To use this feature do the following:

  1. Click on Online Databases from any USF library web page. -OR- Click on CINAHL in the Frequenty Used Databases drop down menu on the library home page & skip to step 4.
  2. Click on Select Database by Name.
  3. Click on CINAHL.
  4. Type a search term or terms in the search box(es).
  5. Click on "More Search Options" near the bottom of the page.
  6. Look for the limit "Specific Interest". Click "Evidence based practice" in the drop down mentu for that limit.
  7. Click Search to execute the search.
