The purpose of a college library is to support the curriculum that is offered there. Therefore, if a student is attending a college that has a large education or biology department, you will find that the library has a large book collection that supports those departments. Books that are unavailable at the USF Library may be ordered from other libraries through interlibrary loan. The USF Library provides links to their catalog and others through the homepage. Below are some of the available catalogs and their descriptions. If you wish, you may access each catalog from this tutorial by clicking on the catalog name. The selected catalog will open in a new window.

****** Please note: When accessing these resources from off-campus, you will be required to login using your MyUSF web portal username and password.

USF Online Catalog
The USF Online Catalog is an index of books, periodicals and audio-visual materials available at the University of St. Francis Library. It is the place to find call numbers and locations for needed books, videos, and films, and it can also be used as a tool to search for possible research topics.

I-Share Catalog
Search the I-Share Catalog to check the book, periodical and audio-visual holdings of the University of St. Francis Library, along with 64 other academic libraries throughout the state of Illinois. Items not found at the USF Library but available at another I-Share library may be ordered directly from the I-Share catalog and delivered to the USF library for pick-up.
