Multimedia

Multimedia refers to videos, DVDs, CDs, computer software, audiobooks and microfilm. All of these items have one thing in common and it is that their physical state requires special equipment such as a CD player, DVD player, microfilm reader to access. Multimedia resources are not only excellent sources of information for research but also wonderful learning tools. Just as all people are not alike, learning styles can vary among people as well. Visual learners may be able to supplement their learning experience by watching a video. Auditory learners may find that watching a video or listening to an audio format of a book makes the information easier to understand. Computer software and information in CD-ROM format are a great source for graphic information such as photographs, diagrams, charts and timelines. Multimedia resources available at the USF Library may be found by searching the online catalog.
