Statistical Information

Statistical information is information dealing with facts and figures. Statistical resources are those that summarize and present the data in an organized manner so that specific numerical information can be located easily. Examples of statistical information are census records, survey results, election results, traffic studies, and population studies. Examples of frequently used statistical resources are:

Statistical Abstract of the United States
State and Metropolitan Area Data Book
World Almanac
FedStats
Bureau of Labor Statistics

Access to these and many other statistical resources are also available through the Internet. The Internet, with it's ability to provide immediate and up-to-date access to information, has become a prime source for statistical information both for the general public and the research community.
