If journal articles are needed, try using the online databases (links below). We suggest CINAHL Plus w/ Full Text for this topic to retreive citations and/or full text articles from many different nursing journals. Additional databases are listed below if you need further information.
For a broad search, type nursing and culture.
Other search options include:
- Add a country to the search. For example: nursing and culture and Mexico or nursing and Mexico
- Select full text articles only by clicking in the box to the left of that limiting option.
- Specify a date range to get materials only from specific years.

To locate books about transcultural nursing available at the USF Library use I-Share, the library's online catalog. Suggested search phrases are: transcultural nursing, transcultural medicine, multicultural nursing or cultural diversity AND nursing.
The University of St. Francis has a solid core of works related to transcultural nursing. Distance students may request any title from the library's general collection to be sent to them by using the library's interlibrary loan service. Books available from any of the other libraries that share the I-Share catalog, students may request directly through the online catalog using their library barcode. These items will be shipped to distance students. The following is a list of some items owned by the USF library; please always check the I-Share catalog for specific availability.
