Ars Antigua: In Mozart’s Footsteps comes to University of St. Francis

Celebrate the 250th anniversary of Mozart’s birth with chamber music by Ars
Antigua, one of Chicago’s premier early music ensembles, which will perform at the
University of St. Francis on Sunday, Nov. 13.

Ars Antigua will present "In Mozart’s Footsteps" at 3 p.m. in the university’s
Moser Performing Arts Center auditorium. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students
and senior citizens. For tickets or information, call (815) 740-3404.

In celebration of the coming 250th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart,
the composer’s chamber works will be performed on period instruments.

Ars Antigua has been called a "hidden gem." The ensemble was founded in 2000 by double bass and violone virtuosos Jerry Fuller, formerly of Chicago Baroque Ensemble. This early music ensemble performs in the Chicagoland area, most notably at Quigley Seminary Chapel in Chicago where they regularly draw standing-room-only audiences.
