Ballet Folklorico brings spectacular dance to the University of St. Francis

Spectacular dances and brilliant, breathtaking
costumes highlight the Ballet Folklorico dance
company, which will perform at the University
of St. Francis in Joliet on Friday, Sept. 17.
Ballet Folklorico will perform at 7 p.m. in the
Moser Performing Arts Center. Admission is free,
but donations will be accepted. For reservations

Recognized throughout the United States and Mexico
as one of the most exciting groups presenting
authentic regional dance of Mexico, Ballet Folklorico
transcends the barriers of language and cultural
influences, bringing new and exciting perspectives
of their culture. This re-enactment of ancient
rituals is complemented by original and powerful
music.
Ballet Folklorico is presented by the University
of St. Francis 2004-05 Artist Lecture Series.
The University of St. Francis, at 500 Wilcox St.
in Joliet, serves more than 4,300 students nationwide.
More than 60 areas of undergraduate study are
offered in arts and sciences, business, education,
nursing and social work. USF also offers graduate
programs in business, education and health care.
