USF hosts breast cancer awareness program

In observation of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the University of St. Francis will present a program on breast disease prevention and treatment. The program will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5 in the universitys Presidents Room, Tower Hall.
The public is invited to this free program. For

Dr. Wendy Marshall, CEO and president of The Center
for Surgery and Breast Health in Joliet, will
speak. The center specializes in the early detection,
diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
Marshall also serves as the director of Trauma
and Emergency Services at Provena Saint Joseph
Medical Center and as director of Trauma Service
at Morris Hospital. She has published more than
100 articles on trauma, critical care and breast
disease, as well as made numerous presentations
throughout the country.
The University of St. Francis, at 500 Wilcox St.
in Joliet, serves 4,300 students nationwide with
more than 60 areas of undergraduate study, 10
graduate programs and three degree completion
programs.
