University of St. Francis awards student achievement

The University of St. Francis recognized student academic achievement at its annual academic and awards convocation, May 20.

The University of St. Francis in Joliet serves more than 4,300 students nationwide, including 1,800 at its Joliet campus. The university offers more than 60 areas of undergraduate study in the areas of arts and sciences, business, nursing and education. Ten graduate programs are offered in health care, education and business.

Scholar Athlete Award – Michelle Hill of Frankfort

C. Vann Woodward Award (history majors) – Carol Tomasko of Joliet

Sister Claudia Zeller Excellence in Mathematical Achievement Award – James Schuler of Lockport

Sister M. Priscilla Sapp Award (BSN Fast Track program) – Shirley Reed of Chicago

Elizabeth McGuire Masek Award (nursing majors) – Colleen Henaghan of Joliet

James P. McCabe Scholarship and Christine Poole Ponquinette Scholarship (social work) – Melissa Nackovic of Plainfield
