USF’s Joliet-Region High School Art Competition accepting entries

Art will be in the air this spring semester at the University of St. Francis in Joliet.  Entries are now being accepted for the inaugural Joliet-Region High School Art Competition, which will feature works from area high school students. 

All art medium will be accepted for jury review, including traditional, digital, photographic and video art.  Two-dimensional works must not exceed 50 inches in height by 48 inches in width and 3 inches in depth.  Sculptural works must not exceed five feet in height by 4 feet in width and 3 feet in depth.  All submissions must be ready to hang or display.

Submissions will be accepted from Monday, April 9 through Friday,
April 27.   Cash prizes will be awarded.

An exhibition of works will be Saturday, May 26 through Thursday,
July 26.  The opening reception will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday,
May 26 in the university’s Moser Performing Arts Center gallery. For information about the competition call 815.740.3821.
