Benefit planned for USF student Lindsey Sharer

University of St. Francis student Lindsey Sharer plans to be a teacher so that she can help children. But, now she needs help. Lindsey has been diagnosed with AML, a rare and aggressive form of leukemia.

The Friends of Lindsey Sharer Benefit Committee have planned a benefit event on Sunday, Nov. 17 to defray costs of her ongoing treatment.

Sharer of Morris is a junior at the University of St. Francis. She is undergoing treatment at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Friends can show their support for Sharer by attending the benefit from 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the VFW in Morris. The suggested contribution at the door is $20. Entertainment, food, a silent auction and raffles will be provided.

The Friends of Lindsey Sharer Benefit Committee is also seeking donations of goods and services from area businesses that can be auctioned and raffled at the benefit.

Contact the Friends of Lindsey Sharer Benefit Committee at (815) 726-6064 or visit the website www.geocities.com/forlindsey315.
