Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with The Edge
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with 60 hours of Latin
music on The Edge, WCSF 88.7 FM at the University
of St. Francis in Joliet. The broadcast begins
at 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 3 and ends at midnight
on Monday, May 5.
Listeners
will hear different types of Latin music including
mariachis, traditional folk music, dance music
and rock music. In addition, a Mexican Culture
series will examine the history and culture of
Mexico and Latin music.
"I
am very excited that the radio station can once
again offer the Cinco de Mayo program," said
station manager Nick Murawski, of Lockport. "This
is another way 88.7 can reach out to the community.
Hopefully, the program will continue to grow from
year to year."
WCSF Radio, which serves the south suburban area,

The University of St. Francis serves more than 4,300 students nationwide, including 1,800 at its Joliet campus. The university offers more than 60 areas of undergraduate study, including mass communication with concentrations in advertising/public relations, broadcasting/audio-video and media arts.
