Muntu Dance brings authentic performance to USF

Muntu Dance Theatre of Chicago will bring its authentic and progressive interpretations of contemporary and ancient African and African-American dance, music and folklore to the University of St. Francis in Joliet on Friday, Feb. 17. Admission is free to the performance.

Muntu Dance Theatre will perform at 7 p.m. in the university’s Moser Performing Arts Center auditorium. Reservations are suggested; call (815) 740-3404.

Colorful and invigorating, Muntu Dance Theatre has brought audiences into the aisles with its unique synthesis of dance, rhythm and song—from Senegal, South Africa, Brazil and Harlem. The company has received enthusiastic and critical acclaim throughout the United States and abroad.
