A
University of St. Francis faculty member and students
earned the exemplary poster session award at the
Council for Exceptional Children national conference
last month in Seattle, Wash.
MeShelda
Jackson, professor of education, and students
Angela Mucci of Ottawa and Candice Balich of Summit
earned the honor.
Jackson,
who holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh,
has taught at USF since 1998. She is a Bolingbrook
resident.
The
Council for Exceptional Children is the largest
international professional organization dedicated
to improving educational outcomes for individuals
with exceptionalities, students with disabilities,
and/or the gifted.
The University of St. Francis serves more than 4,300 students nationwide, including 1,800 at its main campus in Joliet.
