USF students to raise scholarship funds
To
raise funds for the Dr. Christine Poole Ponquinette
and Dr. James P. McCabe scholarships, students
of the Psychology Club at the University of St.
Francis will have a luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Saturday,
Oct. 26.
The
scholarships, that benefit social work and psychology
students at USF, are named in memory of the late
Christine Poole Ponquinette and the late James
P. McCabe, both social work professors at the
university for more than 20 years.
Luncheon
tickets are $10 per person, and the lunch will
be in the Moser Performing Arts Center studio
theater. Many of the university's social work
and psychology alumni as well as area professionals
in these fields attend the scholarship benefit
each year, according to Ling-Yi Zhou, psychology
professor and advisor to the Psychology Club.
Reservations
are required. For reservations or information,
call Zhou at (815) 740-3594.
