Roxane Legenstein’s drawings and paintings create an intriguing meeting place of abstract color and implied architectural space. The artist is fascinated by the ways in which the architectural spaces we live and work in can affect our outlook, and facilitate accidental meetings, interactions and personal isolation.

Legenstein is also a ceramist, sculptor and installation artist. Born in Vienna, she has produced work and exhibited in Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Austria, Greece, Russia and the United States. She serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of St. Francis.

Legenstein lives and has a studio in Ukrainian Village, Chicago.
