USF’s Senior Saturdays presents
‘Tending the Soul is Healing the Body’

Senior Saturdays at the University of St. Francis will present "Tending the Soul Is Healing the Body" on Saturday, Nov. 19. The program is free.

Senior Saturdays is a Learning Throughout Life program sponsored by the University of St. Francis library. The library will be open to seniors during Saturdays throughout the year. Senior citizens are allowed borrowing privileges and use of the library’s computers.

"Tending the Soul Is Healing the Body" will be presented at 9 a.m. in the library, 600 Taylor St. in Joliet. Reservations are encouraged; call (815) 740-3404.

The program is a reflection on the sacred journey of wellness that includes nourishing the mind, body and spirit. USF Professor emeritus Rita Travis, a massage therapist and wellness expert, will give the presentation. Body, mind and spirit connections will be discussed and Travis will lead the group through simple moving meditations that enhance relaxation and encourage wellness.

The University of St. Francis in Joliet serves some 4,100 students nationwide.
