USF offers "Batman Begins" in Topnotch Theater event
The University of St. Francis invites the community to view the movie, "Batman Begins," at a Topnotch Theater event
.
"Batman Begins" will be shown at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4 and 5 in the university’s Moser Performing Arts Center auditorium. Admission is $1, and all children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
"Batman Begins" starts out with a grieving Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) traveling to Asia after the death of his parents, where he is trained by the fighter Ra's Al Ghul (Ken Watanabe). Later, when Bruce returns home, he finds Gotham City overrun by crime and Wayne Enterprises slipping from his control. To solve these problems, he calls on the help of trusty butler Alfred (Michael Caine) and a brilliant inventor (Morgan Freeman). But there are those who don't like Bruce's plans - including villains like Scarecrow and policeman Jim Gordon.
