USF arts, forensic science camps give K-12 students hands-on experiences
Summer camps at the University of St. Francis give kids from kindergarten through grade 12 the opportunity to get hands-on experience in drawing, painting and ceramics or to learn about music, theater and the visual arts. This year, an Investigations in Forensic Science camp has been added.

The university’s College of Education sponsors the Fine Arts Camp, designed for children entering kindergarten through eighth grades. USF’s College of Education students will assist in teaching the classes.
"The programs are designed to stimulate and nurture the artistic side of children and to develop art appreciation, stated John Gambro, dean of the College of Education.
"The camps are a way for children to be exposed to a variety of arts in an age-appropriate way. It also helps USF education major students learn how to integrate art into the curriculum and teach it in an authentic setting," Gambro added.
Students will be grouped by the grade they will enter in the fall.
