USF psychology professor honored by Who’s Who

University of St. Francis faculty member Ling-Yi Zhou has been honored by being listed in the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, 2005, 9th edition.

Zhou was selected for this honor for making a difference in the lives of former students. Only five percent of the nation’s teachers are honored in each edition. Only those students who have distinguished themselves by being recognized for excellence in either Who’s Who Among American High School Students or The National Dean’s List, which honor the best and brightest high school and college students, are invited to submit faculty nominations.

Zhou’s research interests are in the areas of social cognition, people’s understanding of aging and program evaluation. She has involved undergraduate students in her research projects and supervised undergraduate students when they conduct their own studies.

Zhou, of Joliet, is associate professor of psychology. She holds a Ph.D. from Miami University and has worked at the University of St. Francis since 1995.

The University of St. Francis is at 500 Wilcox St. in Joliet. USF serves more than 4,300 students nationwide with more than 60 areas of undergraduate study in arts and sciences, business, education, nursing and social work. Eleven graduate programs in health care, business and education are offered.
