I prefer that my students call me Dr. Bromer or Bill. I teach Principles of Biology, Ecology, Botany, Conservation Biology (Senior Seminar), Plants and Civilization, Environment and Humanity, Earth Science, Enivronmental Issues, Senior Inquiry, and Senior Thesis at USF. I also teach Plant/Animal Interactions at the Morton Arboretum during the summer. The courses are all centered around student participation in the scientific process. We work on a number of open-ended investigations, conduct research as groups, teach each other, make scientific presentations, and read all types of scientific information.
My hobbies include:
I also enjoy volunteering with the Forest Preserve District of Will County and at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie. I have helped remove exotic and invasive species, collect seeds, plant prairie plants, lead tours, search of endangered and threatened plant species, and taught classes on prairie ecosystems.
