A Message From Our New Chair- January 2005

Happy New Year

 Dear Colleagues:

 I have confidence that the new year will be as good as the last for the ACS.  With the support of the local chapter, we hope to continue providing chemical demonstrations and educational opportunities to teachers as well as to students.  Our focus will include a continuation of the following contributions to the community:

A) Career Day Presentations

B) Earth Day Presentations

C) Safety Inspections

D) Educational resources and consultancies

E) Scientific resources and consultancies

F) Collaborative workshops with local universities and schools

G) ACS Olympiad

Our newsletter continues as a conduit to our members.  Please feel free to contact the section with any suggestions or ideas.  I will be looking forward to seeing you at the local chapter meetings.
