USF students travel to learn more about residence life

res-ed-picSeven University of St. Francis (USF) students recently traveled to Southern Illinois University Carbondale to represent USF at the Illinois Residence Hall Association Leadership Conference. The students who attended were Ashley Alekna, William Batsch, Jeremy Grachan, Elizabeth Kasencak, Judith Legorreta, Allison Moss and Andrea Serna.

Batsch and Serna won a top ten program for their presentation of “Sorry, I don’t have TIME for you.”– focusing on time management and servant leadership. The entire group was awareded with a Small School Display Award, added Mollie Rockafellow, director of Residence Education at USF. All students in attendance were able to bring new ideas back to campus to enhance and improve residence life in USF’s dorms. USF currently houses approximately 400 students.
