Mergers & Acquisitions: Notes from the Field will be presented at the University of St. Francis (USF) on Thursday, April 3 by the president and managing director of Republic Partners.Robert S. Levin is president and managing director of Republic Partners, an investment bank that works with clients with start-up businesses to those companies with more than $2 billion in annual revenues. The bank works with clients in the transportation and logistics sector, as well as those within the areas of energy, health care, industrial and consumer products.

Levin began his business career almost 30 years ago as an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department of The First Boston Corp. (now Credit Suisse). In 1990, he joined Bankers Trust (now Deutsche Bank) in Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions. In 1997, he became a founding principal of Thoma Cressey Equity Partners, where he began to focus on the logistics industry. In 2000, he formed Republic Partners to concentrate on providing strategic advisory, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions services to the logistics industry, as well as on seeking selected principal investment opportunities.
