A warm welcome to our three newest CID employees Brandy Perona, Instructional Support Specialist; Jonathan Paul, Academic Computing Technician; and Donna Eakle, Administrative Professional. Donna comes to us as a replacement and will be busy answering your questions regarding online courses, WebCT and supporting our online faculty with content management. With the consistent growth in the online program and with some changing responsibilities in the Center, Brandy and Jonathan come to us filling new positions. These new positions will allow us to expand our services to faculty which in turn will provide some exciting enhancements to the online and face-to-face courses. Welcome to the USF family!

Online Resources
There’s no better online resource for a USF Online student than the University of St. Francis Website. Begin by exploring the USF Online webpage. Immediately upon entering you will see the ‘News and Events’ box with a rolling dialog. This area provides information regarding registration, course dates, drop deadlines, the newsletter and server information. Be sure to check this on a regular basis.
On the USF Online page, if you look at the menu to the right, you’ll see a list of online student information possibilities. Some of the highlights that you will find there are:
Help/Technical Support is a great troubleshooting site that will assist you if you are ever having problems with WebCT. Also located there is the Problem Report, which can be filled out and submitted, should you experience any difficulties using WebCT.
Academic Information lists all the current programs that are running here at USF, along with the Academic Calendar, which includes important dates and deadlines.
Resources for Online Students lists many different resources which will make your online experience much more rewarding. These include, Library Services for Distance Students offering online databases directly to the USF library. Through the Online Bookstore you can order textbooks, or purchase software related to your class work.
The Browser Tune-up will help to ensure your browser settings are optimized for running a WebCT course smoothly. The WebCT Student User Guide can be downloaded to give you step-by-step instructions, including screenshots, helping answer any questions you might have during your online class. Student Records Online gives you the opportunity to access your grades, transcripts and bills from home.

1% Day
On August 28, the university community gathered together and worked on a variety of projects to beautify the campus. These projects - called 1% projects - helped build community spirit while making a big impact on the University’s Master Plan, adopted this past spring. In the afternoon, the volunteers joined the Cathedral Area Preservation Association in co-sponsoring its annual picnic. This event was such a success, it is sure to be replicated next year.
