Online Students Ought to Know:

that your local time may not be the same as your instructor's local time.

This is very important for those live synchronous events and good to understand when taking an online course. To make it easy on yourself, just open up your phone book and flip through the front. There is usally a map of the USA and the time zones that display the time differences. Don't forget the annual time changes. In the spring, you spring forward an hour and in the fall you fall back an hour. This applies in most of the USA unless you live in Arizona, Native American reservations, and some local areas.
