BOOKSTORE

Visit the USF Bookstore at www.stfrancis.edu/bookshop/homepage.htm to purchase textbooks, supplies, software or USF gifts and clothing. Click on "General Information" to learn about refund policies, acceptable forms of payment, shipping charges for orders, and book buyback policies and schedules. Click on "Bookstore Hours" for a complete calendar of hours when the campus store is open. Click on "Contact the Bookstore Staff" to view pictures of the folks who work in your campus bookstore. Click on "Textbooks" or "Merchandise'" to connect to the USF Online Bookstore and view or order course materials and other USF merchandise.

LIBRARY

Check out what is available in the library at www.stfrancis.edu/lib/libindex.htm. Each highlighted phrase is a link from our web page. You can search the online databases to find the research articles and references you need. If there is a "full text" link, the whole article is available online. To search for articles in a specific journal or to browse the list of journals available online in our databases you can go to find articles full-text online (passwords are available from within your course by clicking on the library reference link) or by calling the reference desk at 1-800-726-6500. By clicking on forms you can request materials via interlibrary loan, or, for more personal assistance, e-mail us by clicking on Ask-a-librarian. During the academic year the library is open Mon-Thurs. 8 a.m. - 11 p.m., Fridays 8 a.m. - 9 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. - 5 p.m and Sundays noon-11 p.m., Central Standard Time.

ASK ANGIE

What is "Ask Angie"?

The purpose of the Academic Resource Center's "Ask Angie" is to allow our distance students the opportunity to receive help with writing tasks. Whether you need to reacquaint yourself with writing, speak English as a second language, have always struggled with writing tasks or have a basic grammar question, this service can help. "Ask Angie" focuses on the writer's needs on a particular assignment at any point of the writing process; however, the service cannot do research for you or write your papers for you.

How does "Ask Angie" work?

You submit your paper or direct questions to Angie's attention one of three ways:
1. Emailing ARC@stfrancis.edu
2. Faxing to 815-740-3364
3. Calling 1-800-726-6500 (press "6" for ARC).

Office hours are Monday, 6 to 9 p.m.; Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 4 to 7 p.m. Central Standard Time. (these times may vary semester to semester)

Helpful hints for a successful tutoring session:

1. Have a written description of the writing assignment available.
2. Call before faxing papers or questions, so a tutor can promptly attend to your request.
3. Make sure papers are typed; handwriting can be hard to read when faxed.
