Dr.
Vinciguerra
|

June 1, 2002
marked the beginning of new leadership at USF. As Dr. Michael Vinciguerra,
president, entered the halls of USF he was received by faculty,
administration and staff with a rousing cheer. Dr. Vinciguerra made
a warm and heartfelt speech which was followed by a continental
breakfast. CID welcomes Dr. Vinciguerra to the USF community.

New Vice
President for Academic Affairs

Dr. Constance Bauer has been appointed Vice President for Academic
Affairs. Dr Bauer comes to USF from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College
where she served as Vice President and Dean for Academic Affairs since
1991. Dr. Bauer has a doctorate and M.A. in Anthropology from the
University of Colorado, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University
of California. We are pleased to have Connie join our USF community.

New Vice
President for Development

| Dr.
Robert Wilson-Black as been appointed Vice President for Development.
He comes to us from Meadville Lombard Theological School where he
served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement since 1999.
Dr. Wilson-Black has a doctorate and an A.M. from the University of
Chicago; and an M.H. and B.A. from the University of Richmond. We
are happy to have Rob join our USF community. |

New Dean
of Saint Joseph College of Nursing and Allied Health
|

Dr. Maria A.
Connolly has been appointed the dean of Saint Joseph College of
Nursing and Allied Health. Dr. Connolly has extensive experience
as an administrator at Loyola University Chicago, Marcella Niehoff
School of Nursing. Dr. Connolly was actively involved in the area
of distance learning where she developed an online undergraduate
nursing elective and a series of videoconferences. She is a graduate
of the USF Health Arts program. We welcome her to the university
community.

New Director
of Professional Arts
|
|
Jennifer Davidson
has been appointed director of Professional Arts. Taking several
online courses herself, she completed a master of science degree
in Continuing Education and Training Management from USF. She comes
to us from North Central College, where she served as the director
of Continuing Education. Jennifer is very knowledgeable about non-traditional
programs and is experienced with part-time adult students. We welcome
Jennifer to the university community.

Saints
Share Home With Jackhammers
|

| The
Fighting Saints baseball team shares the new Silver Cross Field with
the Joliet Jackhammers, in downtown Joliet. The Joliet City Council
approved an agreement allowing USF to utilize the field for practices,
all home games, and special events. USF has an area to display the
team's Hall of Fame and to store equipment. USF's presence can be
seen by the display of banners throughout the stadium. |
