Welcome and great news!
Some exciting changes have taken place at USF, one of which was
the formation of a new division, the division of Academic and Information
Support Services (AISS). This new division takes under its wings
all those departments that deal with technology. They include the
Library, the Center for Instructional Delivery (CID), Network Support
Services (NSS), Information and Administrative Services (IAS), University
Web Services (UWS) and Institutional Research (IR). It is with great
sadness and excitement that I inform you that Dr. Jerry Kickul will
no longer serve as Director of CID but rather as the assistant vice
president of this new division. With Jerry's wealth of knowledge
on technology and his ability to lead our division, the best interests
of the university community will be served.

With the formation of this new division, I will serve as director
of CID. I am very excited to take on the challenge of leading our
department as we look to the future. One of CID's goals is to continually
expand and improve our services, which you will begin to see over
the next year. You may have already noticed that the USF Online
page has been redesigned. We have added some links that will assist
you in retrieving information on your academic program as well as
the necessary resources needed to take your online courses. Please
be sure to visit these areas, as important announcements are posted
monthly. We have also incorporated a news and events area on the
main page providing you with the most current up-to-date information
regarding the online program. I can't stress enough the importance
of taking a few moments to navigate around the website and familiarize
yourself with the information that is available in assisting you
with the completion of your education at USF.
These are just a couple of the changes, with more good ones to
come. Remember, CID is just an e-mail or a phone call away. If there
is anything that you need, please don't hesitate to contact our
office; we will be happy to help. Enjoy your summer!
