During this past year, my first as president of USF, the days have
often seemed to race by. They have been great days, filled with
new faces and exciting work. What has been most gratifying is the
commitment evidenced by everyone I've met-commitment to students,
to quality, to the institution and to our Franciscan values.
USF is an institution grounded in student success. We will work
with you as you prepare to fulfill your future dreams. Success at
USF means more than good grades and a job upon graduation. The years
spent at USF, whether as an undergraduate on-campus student, an
off-campus student, a graduate or online student, are a time of
growth-spiritually, personally and intellectually.
Many opportunities are available to you at USF. We promise challenging
coursework, dedicated faculty, a caring environment and a community
committed to the success of individual students. I encourage you
to embrace new experiences and challenges, to explore the possibilities,
both here at USF and in the world.
I have a passion for USF and for the students who come here. I
