Letter to Parents

Dear Parent(s),

On behalf of the University of St. Francis, welcome to the Parents Association. We are very glad that you have taken this opportunity to find out about us. Once your student is enrolled at the University of St. Francis, you become a part of the Parents Association.

The Parents Association is involved in various projects to be a part of the student’s life. We are active during Homecoming Weekend and Family Weekend. As a group we organize many varied activities geared to enrich the educational experience here at the university. We have purchased digital signage units, installed throughout the university, as well as four AED’s (automatic external defibrillators). The redecoration of the Library foyer and renovation of the Tower Hall lounge, including new appliances and a computer work area for the students has been accomplished. The Parents Association was a part of the group effort to install the digital marquee located outside the Recreation Center which provides the entire university community with up to date campus information. In addition, the Parents Association helped sponsor recreational activities for the students including dances, half time basketball activities and treats during finals week.

We are open to new ideas to make your students’ experiences here at USF rewarding and fun. As a member of the Parents Association, you can be a part of a special network of people committed to enhancing the overall quality of the USF experience through social, informational, and educational sponsored events.

Please remember, if you should have any questions or concerns about your son or daughter or any university related issue; you may contact the Student Affairs Office at (815) 740-3399 or by e-mail at afinkle@stfrancis.edu.

Thank you for taking the time to find out about the Parents Association. We hope that we will see you at the next meeting.

Sincerely,

Arlene Finkle & Peggy Barrows
