News & Notes2006-2007 Scholarships to attend the Mid-America Conference, Successful Strategies for Today's Differentiated Classroom, are available for JPDSP teachers. The conference will be held at the USF Motherhouse the week of June 25-29. The scholarship allows the recipient to attend the conference for free (regular conference fee is $500). Three hours of graduate credit is available for $140.00, not included with the scholarship. If interested, please contact Alice Cahill at acahill@stfrancis.edu. Nutrition and Wellness/Health Poster Presentations Posters created by students from Joliet Public Schools District 86 will go on display in Tower Hall, the Motherhouse (first floor) and the Library. The display will be up through Friday, March 23rd. On Thursday, March 15, 4 to 6 p.m., there is a reception in the Art Galley. Dr. Phyllis Wilson, Superintendent of Joliet Schools and Dr. Vinciguerra will welcome attendees. If you have an opportunity, please stop by and welcome the school children of district 86 and their parents, faculty and administrators of district 86, and special guests to our campus. The children of district 86 involved in making the posters are very excited about seeing their art work on display on the USF campus. Thanks to all involved. On October 11th we will be hosting the teacher's checkpoint lunch at the Farragut Media Center. This is an opportunity for the current cooperating teachers to informally discuss the field experience program with the USF supervisor.
