Scholarship Application Instructions

Christine Poole Ponquinette Scholarship - Awarded annually to a junior or senior majoring in social work or psychology based upon academic excellence, financial need, and ability to present oneself in an interview with the Ponquinette and McCabe Scholarship Committee. An application must be submitted.

Christine Poole Ponquinette Scholarship

Awarded annually to a junior or senior majoring in social work or psychology based upon academic excellence, financial need, and ability to present oneself in an interview with the Ponquinette and McCabe Scholarship Committee. An application must be submitted.

Application Requirements

1. Applicants must be entering their Junior or Senior year the semester following the application deadline.
2. Applicants must be majoring in Social Work or Psychology.
3. All applicants must present a completed, typed, application by the application deadline including a cover letter (see #4). Applications that are submitted after the deadline will NOT be considered.
4. The cover letter must include a description of yourself in regards to the following:
  • Why you have chosen the major(s); and
  • How you perceive yourself as a professional in the field five years after your college graduation.
5. This scholarship is based on academic commitment, financial need, and the applicant's ability to present himself/herself to the committee in an interview.

The scholarship award is $1,000 a year.
