Logo:

The logo of College of Nursing reflects the mission of the College and the unique philosophy of its education program. The College motto, "For God and Humanity", is represented by the ascending and descending triangles, depicting its grounding in the needs and resources of the earth and its reach to embrace a comprehensive ministry of holistic health care. Its philosophic framework is depicted in the center structure representing humanity, our environment, health and nursing joined as a whole, surrounding and providing the support for the College, which is signified by its initials. The initals further depict the collaboration between students and the College where the art and science of nursing are drawn together to prepare practitioners to extend the service mission of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart.

Mission:

The mission of College of Nursing is the education of the student as a holistic person, who will function as an accountable practitioner of nursing with respect for human life. The educational program builds upon and integrates knowledge and values from general education courses in the liberal arts and sciences, which the students obtain from other colleges and universities. The Franciscan values of service, awareness, growth, and simplicity form the distinctive characteristics of the College and provide direction for carrying out the mission of the College.
