Student Nurses' Organization
How
to be involved
Why join the Student Nurses' Organization?
Any nursing major can be a member of SNO. Students of the College of Nursing elect a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and two representatives from each class. There is also a faculty advisor.
Why
join the Student Nurses' Organization?
- SNO allows nursing students to get to know other students. It provides the opportunity to talk and learn from other students who have already gone through the same classes.
- SNO organizes fundraisers and is involved in community events.
- As a member, students will learn how to prioritize, which is an essential skill in the nursing profession.
- In
SNO, students are able to voice opinions on
issues affecting USF College of Nursing and
Allied Health.
How do you get involved?
- Attend meetings for SNO that take place one Monday a month at 12:30 pm. These meetings are held in either the CON auditorium or CR 5. There will be postings of the meeting days. All nursing majors are welcome to attend.
- Become a SNO nursing class representative (two students are chosen the first day of the clinical nursing class).
- Talk with your class representative or officers and find out what events have been planned.
- Actually, just getting on this SNO website can help you get involved in SNO.
