Solutions Outreach Connections
Outreach Programs:
- Cooperative Education Program
is a highly flexible partnership program between
University academic departments, Solutions,
and business/community organizations. It enables
university students to gain valuable experience
from direct "hands-on" learning. The
program also may extend beyond single or multiple
learning experiences into a co-op program that
is a step beyond an internship and practicum.
- International and Cutural Education
Program provides participants
of the Joliet and Will County communities a
continuous encounter with different cultural
events which are specifically designed to significantly
contribute to a person's understanding of the
diverse nature of humankind in a modern society.
The focus of this program is to organize and
facilitate international and cultural events
on campus to provide participants with experiences
that distinguish the University as a center
for understanding diverse cultures and international
perspectives.
- Faculty and Student Research Program
provides organizations with faculty
and student resources from the university to
enable them to take on specific research projects
in business and marketing, logistics and transportation,
health care and wellness, training and development,
and information technology.
- Service Program for Not for Profit Organizations
promotes civic responsibility and provides an
opportunity for the university to develop alliances
and partnerships with Not for Profit Organizations
to enable them to more effectively meet their
business needs and engage in activities that
emphasize citizenship, respect and service to
others.
