Student Affairs
Welcome to the University of St. Francis! We are excited about you beginning your journey of independence as you join our community of learners. We hope that you will take advantage of opportunities to experience personal growth and broaden your educational and social goals. We would like to assist you through providing an environment where you are able to develop competence, manage emotions, pursue autonomy and interdependence, develop mature interpersonal relationships, establish identity, develop purpose and develop integrity during your time here.
As you begin your college years, we would like to help you make your experience the most meaningful. We value your unique traits, talents and interests and would like to help you become the best person you can be. Whether you are planning to commute or stay on campus, getting involved in student life will take you a step further in your journey.
Being aware of resources and opportunities available is one of the keys to being a successful student. Resident students need to know about the residence hall amenities and take advantage of living in a living and learning environment. As a commuter, knowing about parking, locations of student lounges, computer labs and lockers will help make you feel comfortable when you are on campus.
During your first year, we encourage all students to join a student organization through club fair, to identify social or cultural events to attend, to register to vote and to get to know the student services available to you. Students are most successful in the university setting if they make connections. As you move further along your journey, we encourage you to set educational and professional goals.
Utilize your academic advisor, the career development center and other student services as tools for success. Being an intern, leader and/or volunteer will enhance your skills and better prepare you for your professional life within a diverse global community. Please use this site to keep yourself informed about the resources and services available to you.
Our faculty, staff and administration are proud and are delighted that you are a part of our student body. We look forward to seeing your personal growth, accomplishments and the contributions you will make to our university. Remember, we are here to assist and to serve you. Let us know how we can help you to be successful!
Best regards,
Student Life Staff
