Grants

The Grants Office

Grant seeking at the University of St. Francis is coordinated within the Office of University Advancement. The Grants Office works with the university’s faculty, administration, and staff to obtain grant funding in support of the university’s mission, activities, and strategic initiatives. This includes coordinating the submission of proposals to government, foundation, and corporate funding sources and providing services in the following areas:

Preparing to pursue grant opportunities

The first step in the grant process is the completion and submission of the Grant Initiation Form. This form will serve to initiate the internal approval process for a future grant submission. After the appropriate university administrators approve and sign this form, the official grant application process may begin.

Finding grant opportunities

Numerous resources are available to identify potential funding sources for your project or initiative. The Grants Office will work with you to find applicable government, foundation, and corporate funding sources whose interests and criteria may be a good match.

Completing the grant application process

This may involve coordinating the details of grant submission, writing the proposal, assisting with budget development, preparing forms and acquiring necessary internal and external documentation. When appropriate, the Grants Office serves as the Authorized Organization Representative (AOR) for federal funding proposals.
