Visual Arts
The Department of Visual Arts maintains 2 traditional drawing and painting studios, a ceramic wheel area equipped with electric kilns, wood shop, 2-D digital lab, and printing and video editing lab. Students have around the clock access to the digital and traditional studios. The woodshop is managed and supervised by department staff. With these facilities, students are capable of creating a variety of works in many media. For example, Graphic Design majors are capable of printing large format pieces for their portfolios on professional grade printers, and Studio Art majors have access to tools (e.g. video editing software) to create works that address contemporary art making practices.
