The Inaugural Joliet-Region High School Art Competition

Location: The Moser Performing Arts Center Gallery, The University of St. Francis (500 Wilcox Street, Joliet, IL, 60435)
Opening Reception: Saturday, May 26, 11AM - 2PM
Awards: First Place -$250.00, Second Place -$150.00, Third Place -$50.00
Eligibility: All submitting artists must have attended high school during the 2007 academic year and reside within approximately 50 miles of the city of Joliet.
Submissions: Each artist may submit 1-3. There is no charge for submitting work, however, each artist must make arrangements for timely delivery and pick-up of all work. Each submission must be accompanied by an official information card (to be provided to the artist upon submission of work) that includes the following information: name, e-mail, address, phone number, high school name and location, title of work, medium, and size. Submissions will be accepted from Monday, April 9th - Friday April 27th. Submissions may be delivered to Room 403 Fine Arts Wing, Wilcox Hall, The University of St. Francis, Joliet IL, 60435.
Submission Regulations: All media of art will be accepted for juror's review, including traditional, digital, photographic and video art. Two-dimensional works must not exceed 50" (height) x 48" (width) x 3" (depth). Sculptural works must not exceed 5' (height) x 4' (width) x 3' (depth). All submissions must be "ready to hang" with appropriate picture wire and/or hardware.
Submission Notification: All artists will be notified via telephone or e-mail of their submission status no later than Saturday, May 12th.
Pick-Up Dates: All exhibiting artists must arrange for pick-up of their work during the following dates: Friday, July 27 (11AM - 2PM), Saturday July 28 (10AM - 2PM).
