Roxane Legenstein is a ceramist, sculptor and installation artist born in Wein, Austria. Legenstein has studied and produced work in Greece, Italy, the United Kingdom, as well as the U.S. In her work, sexual politics and amorphous abstraction are cross-fertilized in an elusive manner through utilization of self directed symbolism and a high attention to detail and technique. Her work has been exhibited extensively in Austria, Germany, Russia, and the United States. Currently, Legenstein lives and holds a studio in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood of Chicago.
