Tytia Habing lives and works in Watson, Illinois very near where she grew up on a working farm. Having spent most of her adult life living in the Cayman Islands, she moved back to her roots a few short years ago. She holds degrees in both horticulture and landscape architecture and is a self-taught photographer. Tytia’s work has been exhibited internationally and has been published in Lenscratch, Black + White Magazine, The Sun, Shots Magazine and National Geographic to name but a few. Most notably, her work has been shortlisted for both the Black and White Photographer of the Year 2015 sponsored by Leica and Critical Mass 2015.

RECEPTION & AWARDS: Saturday, January 21, 2017, noon-2 p.m
The USF Gallery presents the 2016-17 University of St. Francis Art & Design Department Illinois High School Art Competition & Exhibition. The exhibit will span through the university’s gallery and the 3rd and 4th floors of the Art Department and include works of art from Illinois high school students. View the prospectus here.
We invite all Illinois high school students to participate. To submit traditional and non-traditional art (drawing, painting, sculpture etc.), digital, photography, and video art to the art competition and exhibition, simply fill out the online application to enter your artwork (up to 3 pieces) online and drop your work off sometime between December 5-7, 2016, between 2-6 p.m. only.
Cash awards for first, second and third place and scholarship winners will be announced at the public reception, Saturday, January 21, 2017, noon-2 p.m. The university is also hosting a portfolio review for exhibiting students. There will be cash prizes for first, second, third and honorable mention(s).

This comprehensive survey provides an overview of art, design, and photography produced by current students studying at USF. The artworks include magazine design, interactive digital projects, and studies in drawing, painting, photography and sculpture.
APRIL 28 – JUNE 22, 2017 | 2017 USF SENIOR THESIS
OPENING RECEPTION: Friday, May 5, 2017, 5 to 8 p.m.
The annual Art & Design Thesis Exhibition provides an in-depth look at graduating senior projects. Thesis candidates develop a series of artworks, graphic design or photography with assistance of their thesis advisor. These projects are presented in a professional format that includes commercial design, interactive digital portfolios, and exhibition installations.
