Testimonials – M.S. in Education

From the moment that we applied to the day of graduation, we felt an overwhelming amount of support from the administrative staff and the professors. Because everyone was so vested in our success, it made our experience at USF outstanding! As a husband and wife completing this program together, the online program fit our busy lifestyle perfectly. We found the academic rigor of the program to be comparable to a brick and mortar institution and never felt that we lacked any communication or camaraderie that can come from being in a classroom. All of our professors worked within other school districts, as well as, teaching online so our learning experiences were enriched by their real-world comments and points of view. As a result of the online courses, we also had the benefit of being engaged with students from all over the world which gave us different view points and made us think more strategically. We would highly recommend USF and the online program to anyone!

I couldn’t recommend a more in-depth Reading Specialist master’s program than the one at the University of St. Francis. As a practicing reading specialist, I greatly appreciate the extensive, rigorous, practical, and most importantly, meaningful coursework that prepared me for my new position. The program deepens one’s understanding of literacy while also providing practicing teachers with resources to establish a culture of passionate readers and writers. I am beyond grateful to now be included in
such an incredible professional community of educators that continue to inspire me every day!

Like my cohort peers, I began the Educational Leadership Program at the University of St. Francis with an array of leadership skills built upon intrinsic values and previous experiences. However, the program, its respective courses, and the knowledgeable professors guided me towards shaping these skills into applicable tools and strategies for future leadership positions. Grounded in ideals, centered on service to others, the entire experience essentially allowed me to become the professional administrator that I am today.

I was drawn to the master’s program at the University of St. Francis because of the cohorts that were offered. I was able to take almost all of my courses online, and I earned my degree in a year and a half. The courses were interesting, challenging, and practical. I apply what I learned in my master’s degree daily in my classroom. The University of St. Francis opened the door for so many wonderful professional opportunities. The instructors are knowledgeable and supportive of all their students. I highly recommend the master’s program, especially the ESL concentration. Earning my master’s at St. Francis empowered me to become a critical thinker and inspired me to grow as an educator.
