Dr. Audrey Davis

Visiting Professor of Social Work —BSW

Proud member of a community of learners.

Thank you for visiting my webpage.  I am a visiting professor in the Department of Social Work. Before joining the department as full-time faculty, I was a field liaison and adjunct professor in Field Education at USF. Other social work experience includes school social work and positions such as a behavioral specialist and volunteer trainer in the area of cultural competence.

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Illinois. I also hold a professional educators license as a school social worker. I serve on several department committees, including the Recruitment Committee, Assessment Committee, and the Social Work Alumni Committee (as chair), along with the university’s Prior Learning Committee. I recently published my doctoral dissertation comparing MSW faculty perception of gatekeeping practices in traditional and online learning environments.

In addition to sharing my God-given gift of teaching and service at USF, I share my life with my husband of 17 years.  Together we have five children and three grandchildren. My hobbies include reading, traveling with family, and attending my children’s activities.

As a double alumna, one of which includes my undergraduate studies in the very department in which I now serve, I am excited to be a faculty member.  Teaching is a gift of which I am always ready to share. Social work fulfills my passion to serve.
