Joliet, Ill. – The University of St. Francis (USF) Alumni and Family Relations Office invites USF alumni and friends of the university to participate in the USF Alumni & Friends Virtual 5K on Saturday, Apr. 18. For this free event, participants are invited to either go outside (be sure to practice social distancing) or get on a treadmill and run/walk a 5K on their own time at their own pace. It’s that easy!
“We created this event to engage alumni, students and friends of the university in a unique way. It’s a great excuse to go outside and get some exercise, whether by yourself or with your family. In this time, we must come together as a community and lean on each other, because together, we are Saints Strong,” said Aubrey Knight ’04, ’07, USF Director of Alumni and Family Relations.
More event information can be found by visiting Facebook and searching “University of St. Francis Alumni & Family” (or by visiting the event link at facebook.com/events/1488493617986966/ or searching the hashtag #USFVirtual5K). Participants are also encouraged to print off a branded USF bib (available on the Facebook event page) and submit their photos to email@example.com to be featured in a future social media post.
