Jane Engleton Snyder ’35 Scholarship Application

Who is Jane (Engleton) Snyder?

A proud alumna, Mrs. Snyder graduated from then the College of St. Francis in 1935. She was a history major who eventually became a very passionate social worker. Before her death in 1986, she willed a large percentage of her estate to the university in order to establish a scholarship in her name to aid students with
intentions of similar helping professions.

Who is Eligible?

This scholarship is awarded annually to two or more selected students preparing to enter their junior or senior year at USF within elementary education, social work, psychology, recreation, sport & tourism management majors. The award is based on academic excellence, financial need, as well as an interview with the Alumni Association Board of Directors’ Scholarship Committee.
