Sturm, Minola C. 1939 (BA, Latin) celebrated her 92nd birthday in February.

Greene, Sr. Rita 1940 (Undeclared) celebrated her 75th anniversary of her Profession.

Zulka, Sr. Helen 1949 (Undeclared) celebrated her 60th anniversary of Profession.

Freiburg, Sr. Ann A. 1955 (BA, Sociology) celebrated her 50th Anniversary of Profession.

Manley, Marianne E. 1957 (Nursing) was awarded the Distinguished Honor from Upsilon Delta in November of 2010.

Kienzler, Sr. Martha 1958 (BA, Sociology) celebrated her 50th anniversary of Profession.

Prebil, Sr. Lois 1961 (BA, Mathematics) celebrated her 50th anniversary of Profession.

Berry, Sr. Ruth Anne 1961 (Undeclared) celebrated her 60th anniversary of Profession.

Wagner, Sr. Patricia 1962 (BA, Music) celebrated 60th anniversary of Profession.

Ujcik, Sr. Juanita R. 1962 (BS, Natural Science) celebrated her 50th anniversary of Profession.

Boettcher, Ruth M. 1980 (BS, Health Arts) worked as an RN in Dialysis in Milwaukee,Wis; Home Health Care in Green Bay, Wis; and as a Nurse Advocate for the Outagamie County Housing Authority in Appleton, Wis. She and her husband are both retired and living in Green Bay. In 2008 they traveled to West Africa. Currently, she is doing some writing from home.

Kosicek, Tina 1983 (BS, Education) teaches Human Biology and Intro to Biology at Joliet Junior College in Joliet, IL. She has been an adjunct professor for the last 4 years. Teaching has been her passion for over 20 years now.

Doll, John J. 1986 (BS, Computer Science) is employed at ISO: NetMap Analytics. He and his wife, Anne ’88 have kept USF a family tradition by sending both of their daughters here.

McCarthy, Cheryl 1986 (BA, Education) became superintendent of Joliet Township High School District 204 June of 2011.

Melancon, Ronald A. 1988 (MS, Health Services Administration) has been retired from the CEO position of a Migrant/Community Health Center in Central Florida. since 2003. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of two Migrant/Seasonal Farmworker agencies and is currently on the Board of East Coast Migrant Headstart Proect, managing grants and services for migrant families from Florida to New York State.

Nehrenz, Guy M. 1989 (BS, Health Arts) is the Executive Associate Dean for the College of Allied Health and Nursing at Nova Southeastern University.

Blakney, Kirk A. 1996 (BBA, Marketing) is General Manager at Woodruff Golf Course. The home of the University of St. Francis golf league!

Green, Kerri 1997 (BS, Biology) is now Prinicpal for Lockport Township High School Central Campus.

Benning, Jennifer N. (Lucas) 1998 (BA, Journalism/Communications) I live in Chicago and am currently working as an eLearning Specialist at the Emergency Nurses Association.

Nelson, Lois A. 2001 (BS, Health Arts) is a registered nurse working in the gastroenterology department at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. She published her first article in “EndoNurse” magazine in February, 2010 titled “The Redesign of a GI Suite From a Staff Nurse Perspective”. She was chosen as one of Iowa’s 100 Greatest Nurses in 2011 and as the winner of the Innovation and Excellence Award for Nurses at Mary Greeley Medical Center. She is also the chair for the Nursing Education Council, a member of the SME (subject matter expert) of the electronic health record system, a “super user” of the EHR system and is celebrating 37 years of marriage.

Rossi, Margret I. 2002 (BA, Journalism/Communications) took second place in the Joliet Police Department SMART Policing logo contest.

Norton, Sarah M. (Duderstadt) 2003 and her husband, Michael, welcomed a son, John Patrick, into the family on April 26, 2011.

Walsh, Jessica A. 2005 (BA, Mass Communication) and Brendan 2005 (BA, Mass Communication) are creating a documentary about the effects of aquatic invasive species in the Great Lakes and the efforts being made to control them. Hicks, Jeffrey M. 2009 (BA, Mass Communication) recently became a writer for Sports Authority magazine.

Covey, Brian E. 2009 (MS, Educational Leadership) is the Visual and Performing Arts Chairman, in addition to serving as Director of Bands, at Lockport Township High School. While maintaining the Band Department, he conducts the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and one of two Freshman concert ensembles. His instructional roles also include overseeing the Marching Porters, Pep Band, the Jazz Program, and conducting the Pit Orchestra.Mr. Covey has served as an adjudicator for many regional and Illinois High School Association Solo and Ensemble Contests.He holds seven Citations of Excellence from the National Band Association, has been chosen five times as “Who’s Who Among American Teachers,” serves on the National Band Association’s Selective Music Committee, been awarded the “Chicagoland Educator of the Year” from Quinlan and Fabish Music, the “Mildred Jackson Lockport Township High School Teacher of the Year Award”.

Gotsch, Karl A. 2009 (BBA, Management) plays on the semi pro baseball team called the Evergreen Diamondbacks.

Maggio, Richard A. 2009 (BBA, Accounting, Political Science) has accepted the Athletic Director position at St. Francis DeSales High School.

Heap, Stacy A. 2010 (BA, Elementary Education) recently became a 4th grade teacher at Reed-Custer Intermediate School in Braidwood.

Leib, Kerry A. 2010 (MS, Training & Development) currently works for the Commonwealth of Pa. in the Department of Environmental Protection as the Director of Environmental Emergency Response for Pa DEP.

Nava, Grisselda S. 2011 (BBA, Marketing) is a Quartermaster officer in the Army and reported to Officer Basic Course at Fort Lee, Virginia on September 5, 2011.

Storm, Jacqueline T. 2010 (BA, English) recently received a teaching position at Gordon Tech High School in Chicago, IL. She will be coaching cross country, basketball, and track as well.

Arechiga, Carlos 2011 (BA, Mass Communication) took first place in the Joliet Police Department SMART Policing logo design contest.

Becker, Kyrsten L. 2011 (BA, Mathematics) is in her first season as director of operations on the Morehead State volleyball staff.
