I’ve been a History professor at USF since 1995 and currently live near campus with my husband, three kids, two cats, and a lovable Westie named Chewbacca. Before moving to Joliet I lived in a lot of different places: Pennsylvania, California, Connecticut, Ohio, Georgia, New York City, even Japan for two years. I love traveling (especially to Europe), drinking coffee, reading, and geeking out on British period dramas. When I’m not teaching I enjoy writing fiction, and have finished two novels in the last few years. (Neither had gotten published yet, but fingers crossed!) Before turning to novels, I wrote a syndicated newspaper column called “History in the Movies,” which was featured on NPR.org, and reached over a million readers in newspapers nationally.
