Who is Jane (Engleton) Snyder?

A proud alumna, Mrs. Snyder graduated from then the College of St. Francis in 1935. She was a history major who eventually became a very passionate social worker. Before her death in 1986, she willed a large percentage of her estate to the university in order to establish a scholarship in her name to aid students with intentions of pursuing similar helping professions.

Who is Eligible?

This scholarship is awarded annually to two or more selected USF students preparing to enter their junior or senior year as education, social work, psychology or recreation & sport management majors. The award is based on academic excellence and financial need, as well as an interview with the Alumni Association Board of Directors’ Scholarship Committee.
