Dr. Madonna Murphy has worked as a Professor of Education at the University of St. Francis for over 25 years. She teaches undergraduate, masters and doctoral level students education, character education and research courses. She is the author of Character Education in America’s Blue Ribbon Schools, 1st & 2nd edition and the History & Philosophy of Education: Voices of Educational Pioneers. She has co-edited some 50 books on character education published by Capstone Press and by Chelsea House. She is the Coordinator of the Illinois Schools of Character and has spoken about character education throughout the United States, in Canada, Ireland, Rome, Spain, Trinidad, Taiwan, the Philippines and most recently Argentina.
Dr. Murphy received her Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Education Loyola University Chicago, a M.A. in Theology from Holy Apostles College and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Chicago.
